PINTS AND PONYTAILS TICKET
With having two young girls this event is something thats close to my heart. The pints and ponytails movement was started down south by a couple of guys called Lawrence Price and Mathew Lewis Carter. The idea is to bring men into a relaxed pub environment where they can learn to do ponytails and braid hair.
When I first saw this happening down south It really struck a chord with me. Its shone a light on how useless I am when it comes to doing my girls hair. The number of times that my wife has left for work early and ive been left in charge of my daughter’s hair and she’s been sent to nursery looking like Stig of the Dump.
An event like this ticks all the boxes for me. Why?
Teaching men to be able to show up better for their daughters in this way is positively impactful in lso many ways. It’s also creating a relaxed environment where men feel comfortable to come and learn these skills and maybe chat a bit about fatherhood as well. Being Dad is amazing but at the same time it can be really challenging. We can do all this while having a couple of beers. Win Win!
The Event will take place on Tuesday the 10th. 7-30pm- 9-30pm. Tickets are £10 and all the ticket proceeds will go to charity. I will be inviting local Braid specialist Beauty Splendour to lead the training.
