At Finnieston we have always had a soft spot for wool. It is natural, renewable, breathable and scent resistant, making it one of the most sustainable fabrics around. For us, it is also about celebrating local craftsmanship and the heritage of Scottish knitwear.
In Stewarton, the “Bonnet Toun,” our friends at Lochaven International continue a tradition that stretches back centuries. They are the skilled makers behind some of our favourites, including the Avery Felted Cardigan and the Cameron Cardigan, both made from 100% felted lambswool right here in Scotland. The Avery, with its shawl collar and felted finish, shows just how soft and comfortable Scottish wool can be when paired with expert craftsmanship.

For too long Scottish wool has carried a reputation for being coarse, while Australian Geelong lambswool has dominated the conversation around comfort. Thanks to innovation from Lochaven and others, that perception is beginning to change. Scottish wool is proving that it can deliver warmth, style and comfort without compromise.
Choosing Scottish wool also means supporting local farmers who often struggle to earn fair prices for their fleeces. By working with their wool we are not only backing the people and skills that make up Scotland’s textile story, we are also taking a more sustainable path for the future of clothing.
With the Avery and the Cameron we are proud to play a part in writing the next chapter of Scottish wool, one that values comfort, sustainability and the local craft that makes it possible.
