There’s something you can’t quite put your finger on when it comes to US Rubber Company. When you put together the brand’s century of experience in material manufacturing with an iconic shoe silhouette you get a trainer that is unique but remains familiar.

Initially operating as a rubber manufacturer in the 1890s , US Rubber worked with various brands as they acquired some of the biggest rubber factories in the world at the time, not only making materials for shoes but supplied materials for tyre companies also, most notably Goodyear.

The hardwearing nature of the rubber then lead to US Rubber supplying the United States military with shoes throughout the first World War. Until 1917 the company manufactured sneakers for up to 30 different brands!

Despite the brand’s roots in history, the design and manufacturing process is as innovative as ever. Today, each shoe is assembled using one of Europe’s oldest rubber factories and a unique vulcanisation technique making each shoe extra durable and hard wearing.

The shoes are also 100% vegan, but this doesn’t mean that they make any compromises when it comes to quality. There is no glue involved when they fuse the sole plate onto the durable canvas upper, instead the sole is heat sealed and fused onto the shoe to create one unit.

We’re excited to stock a full range of sizes and colours in both high top and low top silhouettes at The FCL Concept store and online HERE.
